Algies Bay is largely a bedroom community, with lots of homes and families,
and one hotel that we could find. For anything nearing the services you'd
find in a regular town, you'd need to venture a kilometer or two down
to Snells Beach.
Given there's not too much to the place, I was impressed they even
had signs at both entrances.
A beach-front home, complete with the mandatory, excessive number
of windows to see water.
And a non-beach-front home, with more the usual number (and far
easier to heat, too, I'd guess).
If you want to look at Algies Bay from above, it looks a bit like
this.
