The largest city in Arizona, in terms on population (boasting a 1.3 million souls enduring the dry heat). And this figure doesn't count the others in the immediately surrounding communities, composing the state's 5.2 or so million people (give or take 100,000, anyway -- I'm hardly a census worker.)
