San Diego is a city of 1.4 million people, the second largest in California
and sixth largest in the U.S. Yup, I drove right through it on bus
952 en route to the San Diego Wild Animal Park. The logic being,
San Diego isn't going anywhere, but how often can I get a driver to take
me to an enclosure of 1,800 acres to look at animals in captivity?
Exactly. That, and I was being carried by baldie, so I didn't really
have much say in the matter, anyway.
After clearing inspections,
we launched onto the tram and off to see an elephant...
The 12 noon bird show.
Sure, they were well-trained, but none have their own web site.
It seems that by living
in the Wild Animal Park, my own kind couldn't swim over and say
what's up... hmmph!
The Okapi,
a relative of the giraffe, and me, a relative to... other ducks.
Much like the ducks, I couldn't
get a giraffe to give me the time of day, either.
Gorillas... they're so primate-ive...
Sure, they're pink, but
are they happy?
Yup, the stork does indeed
have a large baby. But I got to live in the moment regardless.
There was a rush to get
back, though, as the bathroom didn't comply with ADA to assist me.
