Morro Bay and it's 10,000 residents live in the picturesque area between
Highway 1 and the Pacific Ocean, though something of a bay is floating
about in the water to make things fun to look at -- and the lofty 575-foot
(176m) tall Morro Rock just adds to cool-ness.
Absent a town sign that was so placed so I could snap a photo near
the road, we hit the library.
Morro Bay's temporary fire station; the real deal is under construction
across the street (in concrete!).
The power plant with its three distinctive smoke stacks visible
for miles away.
From along the harbor looking out toward the peninsula
and the lofty Morrow Rock.
... and out on the peninsula looking back at the town
itself.
In smaller towns, markets may lack a dedicated scooter parking area,
so some improv is needed.
