Annapolis stands today as the state capital of Maryland, and for a brief
period after we the war with England for freedom, and before the Constitution
was ratified, Annapolis was also the seat of the new country's government.

Between 1783-1784 or so, this was also the nation's capital. Now
it serves only as Maryland's.
