Not the largest city to host a state capital, and certainly not the smallest (Augusta stands at 18,500 or so folks), but one of the prettiest, in my view.

Well, if you were unsure if this was the state capital or not, they're clearing that up for you. The capitol from afar, as seen from near the Augusta Police Dept. (No, we were just visiting, honest.) The capitol up close, avoiding the guys putting lawn sprinklers into the grass area.
I'm sure this is important or note-worthy, but I don't know why, or to what extent. But they have a flag. The park across from the capitol, and unlike parks in San Francisco (etc.) this one doesn't ban running. What's a recliner cable? I guess there really are many, many things I still don't know.
