First time in Bismarck was a tragedy of lack of time... basically, I'd
have missed the chance to reach the Lewis & Clark Museum in Washburn.
But now that I passed through town a second time, I wandered around a
bit more, visited the state capitol, and even found a water tower... which
was roughly one block from where my map claimed the governor's mansion
stood. The map, clearly, was wrong.
The state legislature building isn't your typical,
round-topped place, but it's still quite functional.
The State Library is more in order of a courthouse,
but storing books is a noble cause, too.
The water tower. This isn't where the governor's mansion
stands, obviously.
We're in luck - both are places we want
to visit today. So far, so good... now, back to driving.
Nice signal, and yet another large American
city undergoing the perpetual road construction.
