The Village of Owego was founded in 1787. It's had a few identity issues
as it switched names with nearby Tioga in the 1800s. Complicating that,
there is a Town of Owego, much larger in size and in the same county.
I found the Village one just fine, of course.
Departing from traditional green, the Village of Owego went with
a traditional looking sign instead.
Downtown buildings mix the more modern looking materials with the
time-tested brick. I like brick.
The classic look of a government-like building, here, the Owego
U.S. Post Office.
Not a special effect, yes, it's really snowing -- lightly -- at
the moment.
This lot for sale has sweeping views of the river, and the neighbors
on either side.
As the snow gets a little heavier, I think it's time to beat (webbed)
feet and get back onto the road.
