Well, it's not really on any maps as being much more than there. Of course,
it was first known as Express Ranch, a Wells Fargo stage station, in 1862.
The place was renamed Durkee when the railroad bought its right-of-way
from the Durkee Family in 1883. Today, it's not much of anything, I regret.
No formal sign, but this one has a message that's far more timely.
Every town needs a post office (ZIP code 97905)... even if I can't
find a census count for it.
Next door to the perpetual yard sale in the town's church. Amen.
