We couldn't find a sign for the town, but we knew we were in the right
place, and we didn't let the absence of the sign deter us from taking
in all the splendid brick buildings and stuff. (And at 2,300 people, maybe
a sign just isn't necessary, eh?)
The old Amherst Courthouse. But as all things give into the sands
of time...
... so do government buildings, and the new one is built on the
opposite side of the old one.
By bleak comparison, the town hall and offices are teeny-tiny when
set next to the courthouse.
The crowning achievement of Amherst, though, has to be the roundabout
they have installed. :)
