Danville sits just north of the North Carolina state line, and represents
the nearest of any state we're going to come near without actually visiting
(on this trip). But looking around, there was plenty here to amuse us.
A wood sign. These seem to be quite the rage out here in Virginia,
I'm finding.
Dan River Fabrics has the right idea, complete with a huge sign
-- but Dan's falling down on the job.
Sorry, but no -- you just weren't going to get away without looking
at yet another water tower.
But wait...! We found a totally different side of Danville just
on the other side of town.
The curios thing is, only a few of these buildings were empty and
looked vacant.
Some were downright lively, complete with people on the front steps
eating their lunches.
