The first appeal, admittedly, was the name being a bit out of the ordinary.
But once here, the place is creeping up on its 325th anniversary. And
here my current city of residence is a bit over 100... not so impressive.
How many American towns can put 1680 on their sign as the date the
place was established?
The Presbyterian church. And some lovely clouds behind
it.
Not to be outdone, the Methodists have their church finished with
wood shingles.
When it's not Sunday, you need a way to pass the time -- why not
shop at one of the local stores?
Or, maybe head down to the wharf, also setup in 1680, and take your
boat out for a sail.
Okay, I admit it... a totally childish thought. But the town name
is Onancock, and this involves wood.
