One of only three towns in Vermont large enough to have the city streets
detailed on my Rand McNally, we wandered around this obviously prevalent
college town. And some of the homes paint jobs suggested the college thinking:
ugly, but unconventional.
Only two illegal right turns and one stop sign ignored, but I got
me my bloody picture of the city's sign.
Yes, we just missed the Vermont Independent Film Festival, too...
and yes, I realize you can't read it.
If you were wondering, yes, there is a Burlington coat factory,
as it preps for a run of ski parkas.
I don't even know where to begin. There were plenty
of houses that were painted normally, or composed of brick. And then
there were the others. The lavenders, the neon purples, oranges and
lime greens, the pinks. Overall, it was... well, troubling.
