Eradicator of dead wood and toaster of marshmallows -- fire. What could
camping be without having one, or more...? And, if you'd like to see more
research projects involving those delicious little sugary Peeps, you can
try PeepResearch.org.
It's important to have your own chair when sitting around the camp
fire. But I don't start fires.
What I will do, though, is toast Peeps marshmallows. Not good for
s'mores, but roastable.
Mmmm, with that much sugar, you'd think they'd catch fire faster
than this.
But at long last, they begin to take on a golden brown around their
tummies.
When they finally char through, the outside is sugary-crispy-crunchy
and the inside is squishy.
The marshmallow eventually gets all stringy, and not overly helpful
to those taking flash photos.
