I had a chance to attend an Eagle Scout Court of Honor -- the awarding
of the rank of Eagle to a Boy Scout member. With a minority of just 2%
or so of all Boy Scouts receiving the highest rank, it's a big deal in
the Scouting world, more so when you find out his entire patrol are also
Eagle Scouts.
As with all things Scouts, it begins with the presentation of the
colors.
From there, a salute during the recitation of the Scout motto and
such.
Marching through a video of Eagle Scout Justin, we jump right to
the presentation of the rank emblem.
Eagle Scout Justin seems to be handling the pressure of the event
all in stride.
Along with the rank emblems, the Eagle recipient receives a flag
flown over the U.S. Capital.
When all is said and done, Justin took a few moments for a photos
(and he let me try on his award).
