Okay, so I missed the Olympics by several years (the Summer Games were
in Sydney in 2000), but there's no reason I can't enjoy the trip out there
utilizing the nifty train system they have here.
As I've said time and again, it's nice to feel welcome.
The Olympic Stadium, which sort of looks like a taco from a distance.
But not pictured here.
The Olympic Torch. Minus the flames, what with the Olympics being
over and all.
Notice how relatively new and shiny the paths and train station
still are. Awww, pretty.
The Aquatic Centre. Without a sign -- I guess swimmers just know
where the pool is, eh?
And a neat fountain that shoots arches of water over a path, in
time to softly playing music...
... but I figured, before committing to something stupid,
that I'd better not chance it. I'm a bit absorbent.
Just before leaving, I chose to pose atop the LEGO
brick things. Anti-skid, or kid-friendly?
