We were here for late Friday, and Saturday, 15 March, a national holiday
of sorts. As such, most of the shops and stores were closed (a bit of
a bummer, really). But we managed to make the most of it anyway, starting
with stockpiling food stuffs for Saturday (just like the locals).
It's clearly a store, but few items are familiar. But with stores
closed tomorrow, I bought what I could.
An example of off-street parking, Hungarian-style. Colorful graffiti,
too, I thought.
One of the large buildings about a block from the hotel. The ground
floor is shops; upstairs... homes?
A fire hydrant, half caked in road mud, with a West Side (story?)
tag on the wall in the background.
Satellite dishes litter apartment walls and home rooftops -- but
not a single wire antenna to be seen...
The inexpensive lure of cheap furniture and Swedish meatballs have
IKEA open for business.
