We sort of crashed for the weekend in Chester, staying at the Chester Manor Motel. It's an excellent place to launch from if you're off to Lassen National Park, or in our case this weekend... not, because it's still rather snowed in from last weekend.

I had signs to choose from, but this one seemed more traditional in my view.	The downtown area isn't vast, but it has a certain charm to it.	Where the road ends, abruptly, you have just dirt -- at least until someone buys the vacant lots.
Chester High School, home of the Volcanoes.	Speaking of burning, well, I got nothing, but who doesn't love pictures of fire?	Just east of town, pull over, look back, and can see some nifty scenery and stuff.
