If you're unfamiliar with the tale of the Donner Party over the winder
of 1845-1846, why not look it up on the web, or heaven forbid, check out
your local library? I'm sure your librarian would be delighted to
point you in the right direction (if the librarian isn't helpful, using
the Dewey Decimal system, try in the 978.#### section of the library.)
While not an "X" marks the spot,
we're in the general area of the Donner Party's ill-fated crossing.
Lovely neck of the woods, though, eh?
