Roughly 15 minutes drive from the nearest highway of any significance
sits Riverbank. While it's reasonably close to Oakdale, the home of the
west coast's Hershey chocolate factory, aside from the tomato canning
plant, Riverbank is a quiet little town. Or so it seems on the surface
(but locals may tell a more sordid tale).
I'm sure I'm not reading this right, but it seems that driving safely
is a special event here.
The Del Rio, a movie theatre-turned-bingo parlor. G-47... ooh, I'm
a winner!
I do enjoy the old-style Union 76 orange ball signs, and this isn't
a sign style I see much anymore.
Well, beyond knowing it's a gift shop, I'm lost. But the population
here is 46% Hispanic.
