Nestled about 30 miles north of South Lake Tahoe, and 15 miles south
of Interstate 80 at Truckee, is Tahoe City. Not a whole lot here except
several ski resorts, an Albertsons, Safeway, and a Baskin-Robbin, which
is important when the temperatures are below freezing.
And yes, I nearly died hobbling across this three-lane road.
Despite all the snow, it seems it's still quite vital to have a
well-trained and active fire department.
Snow, snow everywhere, so let's all take a sleddin'...
You would not believe how hard it is to build a snowman with just
my bare wings. But I managed.
See? Now you know why the snow can sustain itself. It's freakin'
cold (that's -4°C).
