This was one of those places where I've heard the name, but wasn't terribly sure why, honestly.  And because it wasn't raining steers and beefalo, I figured it was worth a stop.  Hence, we did.

The rural beacon of civilization - a water tower.  But was it really Abilene?	By comparing the water tower logo to this city truck, we confirmed our whereabouts.	If you're going to have a visitors' center by the tracks, apparently, make it look like a train station.
What is the T&P building?  No idea.  But it was just such a cute structure I had to snap a pic.
