Investigating the rumor of a "Tacoma
aroma" -- an odd smell in Tacoma -- I had to stop by. Given the
keen sense of smell as being part of the animal kingdom, I detected nothing.
Well, except for a rather pleasant aroma near a bakery, but that was both
expected and pleasant.
Mind you, getting from the fast lane to this sign took several miles
and minutes to get to, but I did.
At the Tacoma Dome, they seem to sell dates. During our visit (Apr.
2), they'd sold out through April 9.
From the Tacoma Dome you get a pretty decent view --
for free!
The Union Pacific railroad station, complete with a statue out front
waiting for a taxi.
Across the street was a series of brick buildings. I like brick
buildings.
What I didn't expect to see was casinos. I guess gaming is legal
in Washington. Who knew?
