What more can I add than to comment on the excerpt from "Wayne's World" (1992) in the dialog between Wayne and Alice Cooper?

  • Wayne (Mike Myers): So, do you come to Milwaukee often?
  • Alice Cooper (himself): Well, I'm a regular visitor here, but Milwaukee has certainly had it's share of visitors. The French missionaries and explorers began visiting here in the late 16th century.
  • Pete (A band member type friend of Alice's?): Hey, isn't Milwaukee an Indian name?
  • Alice Cooper: Yes Pete, it is. In fact, it was originally an Algonquin term meaning "the good land."
  • Wayne: I was not aware of that.
  • Alice Cooper: I think one of the most interesting things about Milwaukee is that it is the only American city to elect three socialist mayors.
  • Wayne: [to the camera] Does this guy know how to party or what?

  • We, of course, aren't French missionaries, so we just drove on through.) Miller Park.  Mmmm, Miller Time.  (Please note, this was an alcohol-free trip.) And if you're wondering how long you'll be stuck in traffic, they have you covered -- hurrah!
