If nothing else, I was impressed that not all of the construction was cookie-cutter, tract homes like I see all over America.  I suspect the neighbourhood is a bit older, but hey -- if they could it do it "back then," they could do it today, right?

One neighborhood with a passable paste-job to form a panoramic view.  It's an established neighbourhood, but again, the houses and yards all appear to be unique and reflect having their own personality (even though there are a few similarities in design, which isn't uncommon a'tall).
This portion of the street isn't quite as original as some of the others.  Unless the two in the middle of the photo are rentals owned by the same person... they are eerily like one another (same fence, same paint colours, et cetera...).
Brick is used often, but then again, earthquakes are not a great concern 'round here. Before you become impressed at living in posh luxury, while it is nice, this is actually a duplex. And yes, Virginia, there are apartment buildings to be seen as well.
