Not just a cool name, but apparently a city unto itself. (At least I'm
95% sure. There were some places calling it the City of Glenelg, and others
calling it H-something Bay.) If you're into shopping, Jetty Road is the
place. But since I wasn't in a shopping mood, I settled for walking along
and looking around town. The tram (trolley) that got us here was historic
in its own right.
We never actually found a sign, but several places made mention
of this being Glenelg. Trust me.
The St. Andrews Uniting Church. Sure, it could be a town hall, but
that's directly below this photo.
Where there's coffee shops, there's people. And outside coffee shops,
there's dog parking.
If you walk out on the jetty (pier), you can get a pretty good view
of whatever this is over here.
The Town Hall, which I suspect wasn't built long after folks landed
here in 1836.
Sadly, three doors down (not the band) from Town Hall is this. Hardly
historic.
