The capital city of Tasmania, and the largest city as well (about 190,000
people in the island-state of 500,000 or so), yet, the "International"
airport only offers access to the planes by following the yellow lines
from the gate to the plane parked outside. That aside, it was quite a
lovely city.
Not so much a sign, as a sign of progress. The walk-to-your-plane
airport is an international airport!
About 20km (13 miles or so) to downtown, although it pretty much
looks like many other downtowns.
Up into the residential areas we bumped into all sorts of houses
tucked into the hills...
... and in the middle of the block was this house. It was a very,
very, very fine house.
Lubritorium? I know what they mean, but I don't know that I've ever
seen it written that way.
From the yacht club, you have one of those distant shots of Hobart
and some other bits and pieces.
