Sponsored by the Fire & Emergency Services Authority of Western Australia,
the Fire Brigade Museum in Perth offers both a glimpse into the fire services
of years past, but also a place for kiddies and grown-up kiddies to learn
about fire safety. (And get free "For Emergencies Dial 000"
tickets for the phone.)
Shock and surprise, the Fire Brigade Museum is in a former fire
station.
Built in London in 1855 (the oldest in the territory), this fire
cart was handled by 16 men to pump water.
The Dennis Light Pumper was built in 1928 in England, and could
pump 30 liters/second (~20 gal.).
This 1954 Dennis H2 Pumper is English built... aw, go read
it yourself.
