Vienna is filled with churches. Fortunately, I won't flood you with an
abundance of them, only a few to clarify that there are quite a few. Well,
I guess "flood" is relative...
Partially wrapped in printed tarps to simulate the look whilst under
renovation, St. Stephens.
The inside is ornate, golden and nothing short of awe-inspiring.
And no scaffolding for repairs, either.
One of the several locations to light a votive candle and say your
prayers.
St. Peter's Church, a few blocks from St. Stephens,
and at least on first blush, seemed to have more gold accents and
a cozier feel. (Heck, even the kneelers had heating elements beside
them.)
The Minorite Church (Jesuit, I think), had this impressive mural
of the Last Supper on the wall.
