For me, Brandon was so much more than just another city to visit. It
was a place to call home, to share a meal, to shop amongst the locals
at Wal-Mart, and a place to plant my webbed feet... for about 12 hours.
In the end, I think both Brandon and I will both be the richer for our
time together.
I don't quite buy into the notion of a town blooming, but I must
admit it's nice imagery.
But if not blooming, it's booming. And good news -- pad space is
still available near Home Depot.
Not everything is shiny and new here, and I actually prefer the
brick facade of things more classic.
The fire station is from 1911, and by all indications, is still
a fully functional duty station.
The rice factory, I suspect, cannot claim the same fame, even if
the name looks freshly painted.
Nothing. Just a park and fountain and some pretty flowers. But you
have to stop for the flowers, too.
