Saskatoon sits at nearly 200,000 people, making it the largest city in
the Saskatchewan province (the entire province is just shy of 1 million
people). Despite the size, it's apparently spaced out enough where I'd
have guessed it wasn't any larger than one or two hundred thousand. How's
that for civic planning?
Both a welcome welcome sign, but a piece of good advice to boot.
They've got it all here!
The downtown pedestrian area, complete with pedestrian.
Given we're not in earthquake country, the use of brick is both
bold and enduring. I like bricks.
On the left side of the street we have a depot-looking building
(but no visible tracks anywhere).
And on the right, we have the cafe that got their hands on an old
train car. Cute.
Giant marshmallow? Nope. It's a gold place. Not sure if it's a putting
range or a course, though.
