By virtue of this being a "gateway" city during my visit, I
essentially saw it after arriving at 8pm on my first night of my March
2008 European visit, and from a bus seat between my out-of-town hotel
and the airport. So you get highlights of our night into town instead
(for now), eh?
We drove along the old ring road (roughly along fortress wall lines),
which had a bit of a river along it.
Our group was one of the first to arrive in the Hofbrauhaus Munich,
built 1591.
It was buffet style, which was nice, and the beer was served one
liter at a time. (I had 0,4l of soda).
Once the beer was out, it was time for lessons as to how to hold
and toast with your beer stein.
Then we had a bit of interactive activities of standing and sitting
and such, which gave way to...
... and conga line. Two large snakes of people worked through the
place, each led by a local girl.
