Verona is well-known for its place in several Shakespearian plays, including
Romeo and Juliet, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Taming of the Shrew,
and Much Ado About Mangos (only rumored to exist, but never published).
Here in a town fraught with Shakespeare, Debra broke into a brief
soliloquy along the canal.
Verona proudly displays its ancient Roman ruins, found under the
modern-day streets.
The flat bricks are quite the favorite of builders in Verona (and
elsewhere in Italy).
This corridor leads to the alcove where we can gaze up at Juliet's
balcony.
Near the balcony is a nondescript, 10 foot tall (3.3m) statue of
Juliet. Nifty.
The balcony made famous by Romeo and Juliet, wherein Juliet calls,
"Where art thou, Romeo?"
