Verona is well-known for its place in several Shakespearian plays, including Romeo and Juliet, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Taming of the Shrew, and Much Ado About Mangos (only rumored to exist, but never published).

Here in a town fraught with Shakespeare, Debra broke into a brief soliloquy along the canal. Verona proudly displays its ancient Roman ruins, found under the modern-day streets. The flat bricks are quite the favorite of builders in Verona (and elsewhere in Italy).
This corridor leads to the alcove where we can gaze up at Juliet's balcony. Near the balcony is a nondescript, 10 foot tall (3.3m) statue of Juliet. Nifty. The balcony made famous by Romeo and Juliet, wherein Juliet calls, "Where art thou, Romeo?"
