We (figuratively) flopped out of the cruise ship onto the docks in Cozumel, which is - being an island hanging off the edge of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, a tourist trap in every sense of the word. I initially thought it'd be swell to walk along the waterfront, but after venturing a number of blocks along it, I felt no closer to the turning point (and the neighborhood was beginning to look decidedly less tourist-friendly). Alas, pretty place to the extent I saw it.
A colorful entrance, to be sure. (I even flirted with making the page header colorful... then didn't.).
In a small photo, it looks fancy and complex, but the simplicity is in the absent details.
Honestly, I was more captivated by the myriad of wires - and my fascination with water towers.
While I wouldn't call Senor Frog truly authentic, at least it's a Mexican-based restaurant chain.
Either this guy has a desire to wander, or he's a popular theft target (note the chains)...
Darn near everything next to the port is clean and pristine... so let's focus on that, eh?
