Kaukapakapa is another of those towns we bumped into and didn't find
in the travel guide book. It's certainly here, viable, and has a hotel
that you'd even want to stay in -- their sign even says so, in not so
many words.
The Kaukapakapa Volunteer Fire Brigade, and their engine even has
"Rural Fire" on the front. Cool.
Darn if this ain't one of the cutest train signs I've seen in recent
months.
And all them railroad crossing poles and such are just cute, too...
candy-cane stripped and all.
Tip Top, and the central point of the social activities in town...
you can get a lollipop here, I hear.
Kaukapakapa's hotel. And sitting in the shadow of the church, so
no sinnin' in the hotel, ya hear?
Maybe it's not all high and mighty, but this church is at least
high, up on the hill.
