Te Papa is one of those neat places that's a little artsy, a little sciencey, a little natural, and has a lovely shop area on level 4 just for the fun of it.

We like signs. Even if they are metal and shiny and reflect the light at me in odd ways.	Does the Dodo look pissed to you? Me too. But then again, he is extinct, so that could be why.	This art car was covered with corrugated metal and driven for six years before ending up here.
Outside is the bush walk, a back-to-nature area, complete with extensive foliage, waterfalls, and even a duck pond. But mind the kiddies, before they become a part of the habitat.
