Amongst other cities in the area, Glendale stands out as the fourth largest
in Arizona, and is on the grow. According to their sign, anyway. And the
home of Midwestern University. In the southwest, go figure.
It was also in Glendale, on a white Ford pickup, I saw the bumper sticker
"Respect Women. Women are sacred." I'm all about respect in
all its forms, but wonder if making the extension from respectability
to becoming sacred, like a religious relic (or a cow in India, say) is
really the way to go. Just my 2¢ worth (actual value may vary).
Fourth largest - not too shabby...
Midwestern University? But we're in the Southwest; I don't get it.
Okay, granted, it's Arizona, but what shade or benefit do you really
get from a palm tree?
I realize this is a desert, but shouldn't the parks at least have
a few big trees here and there?
I thought this would make a smashing steakhouse restaurant, but
alas, it's really a feed store.
