The state capitol stands in Hartford, complete with the gold dome and
restricted parking. (Although it's not nearly as restricted as some other
states, but if you're not careful, you could end up with a parking ticket.)
And, if you're on a budget, it's a great place to bring your class to
walk around for the morning.
As they saw in capital cities, all road lead to dome.
And, the dome. Shiny. Even if the size of the place is almost too
big to fit in the photo.
From the steps of the capitol, the view of the town over the hills
is still something to behold.
On the south side, we have a cannon to keep the Rebels away from
overrunning the place.
And yet another statue of LaFayette. One of these days, I'm going
to look him up. Honest.
Some local Hartford kids trying to get smart about state government.
Or, getting ice cream.
