I don't quite get the point of the name -- isn't Meriden mean middle? -- but that aside, not a bad town. The only comment I would make is to not start your tour on the dilapidated side of town.

I thought it was neat how the exit ramps are sponsored, and thus, well taken care of.	Downtown is another story. There were several blocks that looked equally abandoned.	A ray of hope. Or something. Nah, just a neat looking church. Hope optional, but not guaranteed.
