Like most any place else you find, Washington DC looks different at night.
Some places look similar, some not. But thrown in a sunset and you have
something to peek at for a few minutes. But worry not -- once the sun
comes up, we'll head back out and try some pictures during the day.
I just glanced up the street and sure enough, there's the White
House. So here ya go.
The Lincoln Memorial, as seen from the opposite end of the Reflecting
Pool.
Leaving Tubby behind, I walked to the base of the Monument and tried
a closer photo.
As the sun is just disappearing behind the horizon, the scene takes
on a nice glow.
This actually was taken after the first one, but the camera's lens
stayed open longer.
Dark is dark. But this is as you're looking from the
Lincoln Memorial.
