Like most any place else you find, Washington DC looks different at night. Some places look similar, some not. But thrown in a sunset and you have something to peek at for a few minutes. But worry not -- once the sun comes up, we'll head back out and try some pictures during the day.

I just glanced up the street and sure enough, there's the White House. So here ya go. The Lincoln Memorial, as seen from the opposite end of the Reflecting Pool. Leaving Tubby behind, I walked to the base of the Monument and tried a closer photo.
As the sun is just disappearing behind the horizon, the scene takes on a nice glow. This actually was taken after the first one, but the camera's lens stayed open longer. Dark is dark. But this is as you're looking from the Lincoln Memorial.
