The trip to Dallas was initially for gas and snacks, until I pointed
out that this was the place where JFK was assassinated. Well heck if that
didn't turn things around as to what we were going to see and do while
in Dallas.
The Dallas skyline, as seen from I-45 and through the smog.
The Magestic, though as I recently learned, not where Lee Harvey
was found (that was in Oak Cliff).
Sixth floor, right window is where the Warren Commission figured
the three shots were fired from.
Standing on the "X" spot, it does have a clear view from
the aforementioned window.
But then again, so does the grassy knoll nearby.
To put it in perspective, the knoll, the building, and I'm sitting
in the street on where JFK was shot.
Dealey Plaza was just a plaza when it opened in 1940;
when JFK was shot, it became infamous.
Not related, but there were a few fire trucks going
by -- tough to get the flashing lights pictured, alas.
