It's been two years, but I find myself back at Mt. Rushmore. (The previous visit was in May 2002.) This time, we paid for parking ($8 for an annual pass good for parking here), which I don't recall from last time. But that allowed us to visit, leave for dinner, and return for the 9pm illumination -- but no fireworks, although there is an ongoing fundraising event to get that going again.

Not really mountain-related, but I rather enjoyed the four presidents on the Coke machine.	From the new observation deck (still the same old view), we see the four presidents looking out.	And if you press the Zoom button, you can see them just a bit closer.
Waiting for the illumination to occur, we're looking down the walkway leading to the four guys.	And with the lights turned on a bit after 9:30pm, there we are. Oooh, ahhh.
